The colorful XM-PX3 has a body and remote control with translucent icing color. It uses plastic and metal composite materials with lively and bright colors of (-D) Navel Orange, (-A) Blueberry, (-Y) Lemon Yellow. Later on Febuary 1st 2000 the XM-PX3LTD-R" (Dragon Red) and "XM-PX3LTD-A" (Angel Blue) were released with an MSRP of 30,000 yen.
Digital AC bass sound to dynamically control the music signal to obtain undistorted and sharp bass and slender mid-treble. It only supports rechargeable batteries and cannot be connected to the battery box.
A Coca-Cola and Hello Kitty version of this player also exists.
